If you are AAT part or fully qualified and enjoy working at a fast pace, with a variety of businesses and displaying accuracy, excellent time keeping, organisational skills and attention to detail in everything that you do, this role is perfect for you.

Working as part of a small team with the guidance and support of a larger organisation network this our accounting practice offers a great place to work with training and career progression opportunities as well as the chance to make a difference to small business owners providing advice and support.

What will you be doing in this role? 
  • Preparing accounts from client’s prime records to a draft stage using Digita Accounts Production.
  • Drafting business tax computations and preparing draft CT600s.
  • Managing a portfolio of VAT and bookkeeping clients.
  • Preparing of personal tax returns.
  • Bookkeeping for clients using spreadsheets or cloud accounting software such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Providing accounting software training to clients.
  • Preparation of management accounts.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Answering client phone calls/emails and helping with queries.
  • Ensure timesheets are completed on a weekly basis.
  • Reception Cover when required.  
  • Develop and apply technical knowledge gained from studies and on the job experience.
What skills or experience do you need to be successful in this role?
  • 280 UCAS points or equivalent. B grade or above in GCSE Maths and English.
  • Good IT knowledge specifically including the use Microsoft packages and cloud accounting software.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • Self motivated
  • Time management and the ability to prioritise urgent work.
  • Professionalism to ensure successful working relationships are maintained with clients and team members
  • Business Motor Insurance (for occasional travel to client sites)
