Location: Field Based (Office in Newbury, Berks)
Job Type: Full time/Permanent, Mon – Fri 8.30am to 5.00pm
Salary: £28-32k plus £6k car allowance and commission

Are you a tenacious Business Development Manager who is used to operating within a highly competitive channel sector? 
Are you used to achieving challenging KPIs, building strong partner relationships and skilled at helping partners sell contracts? 
Then this is the PERFECT role for you! 

You will be part of a small team of field-based BDMs who are adept at fostering relationships with partners and developing new partners from telecoms and other channels.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Motivate existing partners to sell energy contracts to their existing base
  • Achieve KPIs, focussing on revenue growth and retention
  • Grow the number of partners
  • Support and training partners and their sales teams on how to sell the product ranges
  • Devise acquisition strategies through effective and documented account planning
  • Agree marketing strategies and campaigns with partners, working with internal marketing team and partner to deliver increased activity
  • Work closely with Internal Account Management team to gain good overview of all accounts including activity in the new business and renewal pipeline
  • Understand and be able to resolve issues surrounding commission structures for partners and payment profiles of suppliers
  • Attend face to face meetings at partner sites to conduct sales training and review meetings
  • Develop good understanding of Salesforce.com and how to use its reporting functions
  • Understand and deliver training on the Ambolt platform to partners
  • To resolve billing and account management issues related to the supply of energy, communicate these effectively and efficiently to the partners and customers in order to maintain high service levels
  • Construct strong proposals and deliver effectively directly to customer or via partner relationship
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of channel sales
  • Strong drive to succeed and ability to build lasting relationships
  • Strong achievement drive, self-motivation and relationship management capability
  • Analytical thinking with strong planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to influence and have impact at a senior level
  • Proven sales and negotiation skills with partners
  • Numerate with ability to solve detailed problems and use own initiative
