Location: Fully Remote (role covers East Sussex, Kent & Essex)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £32k pro rata for project length
Contract Period: Until 30th June 2022

As the Event & Project Coordinator for this not for profit organisation you will support, coordinate, organise and plan alongside the Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for multiple projects focussed on supporting local businesses in the Southern Local Enterprise Partnership region, including Essex, East Sussex and Kent who provide practical and expert advice to businesses as they come out of the pandemic.

Ideally you will have some knowledge of the areas included in this region and have a passion and interest in helping and supporting local businesses thrive.

You will act as the "right hand person" for the Project Manager in a variety of tasks such as:
  • Reporting 
  • Setting up events in Eventbrite(
  • Keeping track of project timeline and lifecycles
  • Managing the PM diary
  • Scheduling appropriate meetings/talks/presentations
  • Creation of presentations
  • Managing the internal CRM (mainly in Excel)
The successful candidate will have WordPress experience or be capable/comfortable to learn how to use it.

We are not looking for specific qualifications for this role but you will need the following attributes:
  • Self starter and motivated by tight deadlines
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Exemplary prioritisation skills
  • Ability to build rapports quickly and effectively
  • Passion for local business and business communities
  • Can work methodically and logically engaging with various internal and external teams to ensure project deadlines and milestones are being met
You will receive a work from home allowance for this role to purchase appropriate equipment to effectively work from home as well as a very generous pension contribution (10-12% employer contribution).

This person will be on a fixed term contract with the organisation directly and any continuation to the project will depend on funding available at the time.
