Part Time Digital Information Officer
4 hours per day 10-2pm - More hours can be available up to 28hrs per week.
Monday to Friday
£22,000 pro rata. (£11.28 per hour)

Newbury office based and remote working 

As the Digital Information officer for this independent health and social care public support organisation you will be responsible for delivering reports and appropriate information as well updating the company website, maintaining the CRM and creating engaging and informative social media posts across multiple platforms.
Our client is looking for someone who can support with digital information for both West Berks and Portsmouth (you do not need to travel to Portsmouth).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supplying news updates with a sense of urgency in real time
  2. Act as the first point of contact for enquiries by telephone, via website, email, text, post and in person from participants, the media, other organisations and members of the public.
  3. Manage routine correspondence and communications, including email and postal mailings.
  4. Assist with the collection and management of local people’s views and feedback to enable effective analysis.
  5. Support the Chief Officer and Development Officers with delivery of effective and targeted communications using a wide range of different media.
  6. Signpost people to relevant services.  
  7. Helping with events occasionally
  8. Helping with information around covid community testing and providing updates and reports around what is working and what is not
  9. Showing empathy and understanding around the pandemic to update on social media channels.
Research & Information:  
  1. Research and collect relevant health and social care news and events; update and maintain the website (through a Content Management System) and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin , Instagram etc).
  2. Prepare E-Bulletins and newsletters.
  3. Assist in the production of West Berkshire quarterly and annual reports.

Our client is an independent, statutory organisation responsible for monitoring health and social care services on behalf of patients.
In Berkshire West there are three organisations: Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire. Their job is to monitor the quality and people's experience of social care, health care and public health in the local area, and ensure that when people have views on their experience, that they are heard and responded to by the relevant organisation. They hold regular meetings and events to gather feedback and share this with NHS providers and commissioners of services.
