Role Overview
This role is a fantastic opportunity for a marketing or sales professional to work across the best audiobook list in the UK. The opportunity will involve working across the whole business, helping to sell and market their incredible digital platform as well as their digital and physical content to libraries and trade retailers across the UK.
Good admin skills – majority of the job includes social media, designing presentations to support the Commercial Director and the sales team, running data reports for customers.
You need to be confident so you can speak to customers at conferences and outgoing and confident enough to deal with a demanding sales team!
There may be the opportunity to develop your career into more of a Sales Manager or Marketing Manager role but the immediate requirement for now is that you will be doing a bit of everything and you need to happy with this.
The role will involve every element of sales and marketing for a busy publishing business. This will include:

  • Being a professional and helpful point of marketing contact for their customer base – providing advice and support on marketing to them, right across the business
  • Manage all elements of social media – creation of schedules, posts and assets
  • Maintaining brand guidelines
  • Creating calendars of events, promotions and offers around their content
  • Managing their physical and digital marketing collateral – from creation of new assets to delivery of existing ones
  • Helping to on-board new customers to ensure the business is promoted effectively
  • Working with their customers to deliver events and promotions
  • Work with publishing partners and suppliers to ensure the sales team have sales material that is fit for purpose
  • Creating effective, impactful presentations for new content and acquisitions
  • Running excel reports to support the sales team and their customers
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects to support the senior team
  • Organising and attending several annual conferences throughout the UK
About You
You will be a creative, flexible and positive team player. You will have a passion for books, audio and digital content. You will be able to work independently as well as part of a team and be a real self-starter with more ideas than can possibly be implemented! You will need excellent organisational skills and be able to multi-task, thriving under pressure and being able to deliver to changing deadlines. No job will be too small for you to tackle – you will be hands-on and thrive on keeping busy and delivering great results.
Ideally you will have worked with books or in publishing or a related sector before and this is the perfect role for anyone looking to get into a sales or marketing role. A passion for books is a must.
You will have excellent skills in Excel, PowerPoint, In-design, Canva and/or Photoshop.
