Office based (some remote working is possible after an initial period in the office)

As the UX developer for this Consultancy based in Hampshire you will be responsible for the further development, testing, refinement and implementation of their Asset Management software.

The support tool offered by this organisation is a range of mathematical modelling software modules that evaluate the impact of the many and various factors influencing an assets life to quantify cost, risk, and performance implications.

The tools are implemented with the guidance and advice of a network of expert facilitators around the world, to find asset life options that are best for the client company.

This is a varied role which requires both a technical problem-solving mindset and communicative skills to collaborate with their development, delivery, and business contributors.

Job role will include support of:

• New software product development and testing
• Maintenance, upgrades and user interface corrections/refinements of existing products
• Software installation and client technical and user community support
• Maintenance of client configurations & technical support records.

NB. Close collaboration with the existing developer and specialist external contractors is essential to the role.

Requirements:

You will be competent with the following;
  • Databases
  • SQL Server 7-20012
  • MS Access Programming Languages C#, VB, VB.NET
  • Programming technologies:
    • Visual studio, WPF, Unit testing, ORMs Web Technologies HTML, Web services, XML, ASP, ASP.NET, IIS
  • Operating Systems:
    • Windows Other N-Tier application design, Development lifecycle, Office programming (Excel, Outlook), Network infrastructure
  • Business-to-business software product management & support
  • Project management disciplines with attention to detail
  • Client-facing communication skills (user and technical support)
  • Multimedia platforms, web presence, client/server IT & MS Office infrastructure

  • Someone with good technical knowledge and experience who brings ideas and processes into the business
You will be working within a small team from the head office in Kingsclere, Hants. This role offers the opportunity to include remote working however, it is expected that the successful candidate will be fulltime in the office to start with.
