Location:   Newbury, Berks
Salary:       £22-28k DOE

As a Marketing Account Development Manager you will have the drive and ambition to develop your own business and provide excellent customer service to clients you engage with. We are looking for someone with a minimum of a year’s experience in an agency and hungry for a new position with plenty of opportunity to work directly with clients to help grow our business.

This Creative Agency based in Newbury, boasts an amazing and diverse client list including the NHS, independent schools, technology companies and charities.

You will be joining a passionate and creative team with a real flair to deliver exciting and diverse marketing campaigns on behalf of their clients.

Ideally you will have a minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a marketing or creative agency and understand the design process.

If you are unflappable, well organised, have a great eye for detail and strong communication skills and you will be able to demonstrate an appetite for business development. 
 
Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Creating ‘pitches’ to win new business
  • Meeting clients and prospects to discuss their marketing needs
  • Working with the internal creative and marketing teams to devise activities that meet the clients’ brief and budget
  • Presenting campaign ideas and costs to clients
  • Negotiating with clients, solving any problems and making sure deadlines are met
  • Scheduling a project plan, checking and reporting on progress, using project management tools, e.g. Trello
  • Keeping in contact with the client at all stages of the activity and managing their expectations
  • Managing the account’s budget and invoicing the client
  • Handling multiple non-competing accounts at the same time

Qualifications

  • Ideally qualified to degree or at least BTEC HND level in one of the following subjects:
    • Marketing
    • Communication and media studies
    • Business or management
    • Psychology

Other information

  • Your working hours are from 8.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday and until 5.00pm on Fridays. A flexi-time policy, allowing start time and finish times to fluctuate by half an hour every day is available.
  • You will be office-based but must be able to travel to meet clients face-to-face.
  • Over time, and with a good grounding as an account manager, there would be scope to further develop this role into a senior business development role.
