Internal Recruiter
Outskirts of Reading
Permanent, full time (35 hours per week)
Up to £32,000 per annum DOE
The Internal Recruiter will work closely with the HR Manager in planning and supporting new and ongoing recruitment.
Recruitment Responsibilities:

  • To research the intake of people and become skilled in all that the organisation offers, plus its recruitment peaks and ratio of people turnover
  • Liaise and consult with senior and middle managers, establishing professional relationships and understanding their recruiting needs
  • To study plans and objectives for future, current and pending recruitment, engaging with key managers and providing guidance in workforce planning and identifying areas of real need, like for like replacements, or internal transfers
  • Oversee the recruitment email ‘in-box’
  • Identifying where to source people for certain roles and approaching suitable candidates
  • Sourcing and interviewing candidates
  • Create job advertisements with flair and creativity, avoiding legislation pitfalls and placing them in a range of media
  • Offer guidance, when needed, on a variance of qualifications, credentials and diplomas for a wide range of different roles
  • Preparing and providing Employment Inductions to new staff
  • Collate recruiting statistics on a weekly basis
  • Attending events and appropriate exhibitions that will open opportunities to attract people to the organisation

Recruitment Compliance

  1. Receiving and reviewing applications in accordance with a vulnerable environment’s guidelines, such as career history and dates, the right to work in the UK as required to satisfy the Immigration Border Agency and the organisations compliancy regulations
  2. Create reference requests and verification of references with referees
  3. Arrange appointments and interviews, confirming schedules with the relevant interviewers.
  4. Maintaining good records of safer recruitment legislation and vulnerable environment compliancy


  • At least 3 years recruitment experience is essential.
  • Proven and competent administrative experience is essential
  • Awareness of recruiting software processes, such as application tracking systems an advantage
  • Previous experience of working in a school or similar vulnerable environment an advantage
  • Some HR related experience an advantage
