Sales & Purchasing Administrator
Outskirts of Newbury
Permanent, Full time 8.30am – 5.00pm (40 hours per week)
£19,000 – £23,000 DOE

Due to continued growth our client has a new position they are recruiting for – Sales & Purchasing Administrator. The main job responsibility is working within the sales office as a sales administrator but the role will also incorporate purchase order processing and being the general point of contact within the busy office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate team that collaboratively work hard and succeed together and have a great office atmosphere to accompany it. Not only this, but 2019 will see them move into their brand-new purpose-built office/showroom (Newbury).

Job duties will include:

  • Assisting in maintaining a smooth day to day running of the business
  • Provide full time support for internal and external sales team
  • Provide contact at every level in the sales process with new and existing clients
  • Processing sales orders
  • Processing day to day purchase orders
  • Communicator between returns department and customer
  • Managing incoming sales leads (distributing sales leads)
  • Answering incoming calls and distributing to the relevant department
  • Managing all incoming emails and contact forms from our website
  • Managing all incoming sales leads which are generated via the sales lead generation website
  • Processing sales orders (dealing with low level product specification when required on sales orders, supporting the internal and external sales team).
  • Processing new customer account application forms, working with the Finance Controller (Sage Line 50)
  • Processing day to day purchase orders with UK based suppliers
  • Liaise with suppliers on delivery dates and maintain communication with customers on all orders that are dispatched directly from supplier
  • Point of contact for customer returns

 
The successful candidate will have:
 

  • Excellent communication skills with a high level of literacy (written and spoken)
  • Willing to get stuck in with busy internal sales office
  • Previous experience of working within a sales / purchasing team or strong administration experience
