IT TECHNICIAN

Location: Southend on Sea, Essex

Position: Permanent

Salary: Negotiable

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for our client in Southend on Sea as an IT Technician.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Working part of the desktop support team, managing requests logged by users across the business.
• Performing routine tasks including re-setting passwords, restoring files, setting up new users.
• Help manage local area network for all sites.
• Carry out and complete assigned IT project work.
• Testing and monitoring of IT resources.
• Providing reports on IT service desk calls, assets and backups.

The successful IT Technician must have the following related skills / experience:

Essential:

• Experience and knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365
• Windows 10 & 11 operating systems
• Service desk experience 1st / 2nd line support
• Experience creating and writing documentation
• Experience with backup technologies
• Excellent organisational skills

Desirable:

• Good understanding of Microsoft and Mac systems:
• Windows server 2016, 2019 & 2022
• Microsoft Hyper-V platform
• Experience in working in a hybrid Azure AD/Entra ID environment
• Working with and creating PowerShell scripts
• Experience working with regulated ISO environment
